Tutor Marked Assignments
In a Nutshell - CIW Course Section 3
Tutor Marked Assignments - TMA's
It is recommended that you do not refer back to the manual when completing a tutor marked assignment, which is only sensible. I have, however, always referred back to my own notes that I have taken as I work through the course. The mid course assignments are all multiple choice but the wording of some options can lead you up the garden path, but I shall highlight the ones I have come across.
Earlier sections have had an assignment after every other chapter. This section is different there are only a few tutor marked assignments but there is a lot more in each of them.
Part A.
TMA-01 covers Installation Issues through to Apache Server and goes into quite a bit of detail on Microsoft's Internet Information Server (IIS)
TMA-02 covers the remainder of the section all of which focuses on user account permissions and practices. This assignment has 20 questions.
TMA-02A appears to be fairly brief but, none of the 8 questions are multiple choice so a bit of creative writing is called for.
Part B
TMA-03 this assignment has 30 questions many of them on DNS and NetBIOS. They are not all as straight forward as they first appear.
TMA-04 Another 30 questions. A few on Perl, a couple on streaming media servers and several about eMail.
TMA-05 Firewalls, Certificates and Secure Sockets Layer. All good stuff and it feels like we're finally getting serious.
